聖地チベット展 上野の森美術館 The exhibition “Tibet: Treasures from the Roof of the World” The Ueno Royal Museum

上野の森美術館で催されている「聖地チベット展」にいってきた。

なんでだろう、そんなに印象に残らなかった。

I went to the exhibition “Tibet: Treasures from the Roof of the World” at the Ueno Royal Museum.

I do not know why, but I was not so impressed with it.

No man's land at French embassy in Azabu (フランス大使館 麻布）

壊されるフランス大使館旧庁舎で開催された日本とフランスのアーティストが参加するアートフェスティバル[No mans land http://ambafrance-jp.org/nomansland/] にいってきた。

展示もさることながら、1957年に建てられたこの旧庁舎自体も興味深いものだった。
建築自体はまったくの門外漢なのでわからないのだが、感想を述べさせていただくと、
「懐かしいな、小学校だ」

戦後、都市の未来を模索した新しい建築の流れにあるこの建築物は
僕（３４歳:2009年）の世代にとっては懐かしい郷愁を誘うものになっている。

東京では21世紀を迎えてから、近代、そして現代といっていい時代にたてられた建築物が立て替えられていっている。僕にとっては江戸時代に建てられた建築物が壊されるよりも大きな喪失を感じる。

I went to the art festival [No mans land http://ambafrance-jp.org/nomansland/] which French and Japanese artists joined at the old French embassy building.

I liked this exhibition. But the old building itself was built in 1957 was also interesting. Even though I am not an expert of architecture, let me state my impression about this old building, "It is nostalgia for me, this building looks like the primary school I studied at."

The old French embassy building was representative of new post war era, which was contemporary at that time. However, this old building has already been nostalgic fro me who is 3 4 years today in 2009.

After starting 21st century, buildings were build in modern era or even we can say the era is present‐day were reconstructed in Tokyo. It leaves a sence of loss more than reconstructing a buliding was original from Edo era.

第４回ワイド徳之島祭り 赤坂 4th Wide Tokunosima Festival in Akasaka

奄美、徳之島出身のアーティストによるライブ、第４回ワイド徳之島祭り にいってきた。
とっても良い雰囲気だった。

いってみたいな、徳之島。


I went to 4th Wide Tokunosima Festival in Akasaka. Musicians who came from Tokunosima island, one of Amami islands joined in this festival.
It was nice atmosphere.
I want to go Tokunosima island.

electraglide 2009 presents Warp20

electraglide 2009 presents Warp20に幕張にいってきた。

数ある中でベストはBattlesだと思ったのだが、一緒に行った友人達曰く、ちっとも良く無かったらしい。
左様でございますか。

来年の頭に３５歳。こんな一晩中のフェスに参加できるのはいつまでなんだろうか。
１日遅れで疲れた。

I went to electraglide 2009 presents Warp20 in Makuhari, Chiba pref.

I thought the best performance was Battles. But my friends who went there together said, they were not particularly good.
Well.... OK.

I am getting on for 35 years old at the beginning of next year. I do not know when I give up joining in an all night music festival. I got tired one day delay.

人類が消えた世界 The World Without Us

アラン・ワイズマン著「人類が消えた世界」読了。

人類はいかなる形であれ、他のこの地球を支配してきた種族同様にいつかは滅びる。
仮に巨大産業文明を残したまま、人類のみ突然滅んだ場合はどうなるのだろうか、ということを考察したのが本書。

残された都市や農地は復権した野生生物の世界に呑み込まれる。しかし、人類が生み出した化学物質や放射能は残り続ける。

本書は放射能に汚染され、人の住めなくなったチェルノブイリ周辺を先行する人類が消えた世界として紹介している。今、彼の地では野生動物が増え、森が廃墟を覆うとしているらしい。勿論、彼らは放射能に汚染されている。

それを良しとするか、良しとしないかは、人類の預かり知るところでは無い。
それは「人類が消えた世界」の話しなのだから。

I finished reading [The World Without Us] by Alan Weisman.

Human race will be died out in any form someday in future, like other species ruled the earth in the past.
The consideration in this book of it is that if we extinct suddenly and leave this industrial civilization what will be going to happen on the earth.

[The World Without Us] mentions abandoned cities and farmlands will be swallowed up by the world which wildlife will be restored to their original niche. But chemical substances and radioactivity that human race leaves will remain in the world.

The book describes the land in and around Chernobyl has been contaminated by residual radioactivity, so that people could not live there anymore. It is described as the precedent world without us. The amount of wildlife has been increasing and forest has been covering ruins in Chernobyl. Of course, they are contaminated by radioactivity.

Is the fact in Chernobyl positive or negative? Human race has nothing to do with the matter.
Because it is the story about [The World Without Us].

EMERGING DIRECTORS' ART FAIR ULTRA 002 at Aoyama Spiral.

知り合いに勧められて、青山スパイラルで開かれているEMERGING DIRECTORS' ART FAIR ULTRA 002に行って来た。

このEMERGING DIRECTORS' ART FAIR ULTRA は画廊のアートディレクター責任監修、彼らの名前が第一にでるイベントだ、とのこと。

このイベント自体は楽しむことができたのだが、最近アート、もしくはデザイン等のイベントにいささか疲れ気味だ、ということに気づいてしまった。

はあ、深夜食堂でも観て寝よう。

One of my friend recommend me going EMERGING DIRECTORS' ART FAIR ULTRA 002 at Aoyama Spiral.
Art directors from galleries had responsibility to all art works in this art event so that their names were emphasized firstly.

Although I enjoyed this event, I realized I was a bit tired of going the art or design events recently.

Well, I am going to watch "Sinya shokudo (The Midnight Canteen)" on telly, and then going to bed.

Jaga Jazzist concert in 渋谷 O-EAST2009

Jaga Jazzist のライブに渋谷(O-EAST)にいってきた。

さあ、ipodを部屋に残して、皆ライブへ。
